Taco Art for Both Adults and Preschoolers

You’ve probably noticed, but the street food trend (as in trendy street food) has carjacked the humble taco truck and made it into everything from a French frog-leg slinging machine (see Spencer on the Go) to a chowder mobile. Everyone assumes that Tacolicious is, by default, a taco truck and sometimes I’m glad we opted to do a stand.

But for those of you that just can’t get enough of the truck, Goopy Mart, designer of cartoon art, made some genius paper taco trucks for Yum Tacos, a pretty great Bay Area-based blog about taco trucks all over the US. I cut and pasted a few that are sitting on Joe’s desk right now.

Which brings me to next week, when Moss—our four year old—and his preschool are coming down to Tacolicious for a field trip (should you be there around 10:30 am for huevos rancheros, beware of 22 little people swarming the stand). The day before that, I’m going to be leading the class in “taco art,” which consists of paper tortillas, filled with paper ingredients, rolled up and “eaten.” I’m going to roll up with the paper taco truck for extra effect.
