The 2011 Tacolicious guest chef series and CUESA fundraiser ended last week with Jake Godby of Humphry Slocombe wrapping it up with a strawberry margarita popsicle. In total, the proceeds added up to $6,000! Thanks to all the chefs who participated and to all our you who came out to eat.

Just so you know where your money is headed, Lulu Meyer of CUESA (the non profit that manages the Ferry Plaza Farmers Market and much more) says, “We’re splitting it between Schoolyard to Market and the Seller Scholarship fund—which has primarily been used for conferences like Eco-Farm, Small Farm Conference, etc. We’re are now looking into turning the scholarship into a micro-grant program to provide funds for furthering sustainability practices such as hedgerow building and solar power conversion.”
